Many businesses can start their operations without a website, however at some point most businesses will reach a point when they find it necessary, they want to increase visibility and authority and much more.
Here are 9 reasons that your business needs a website:
1) Your website is the online storefront of your business.
The number one reason your business needs a website is that it is your online store front! A website is a way to connect your audience with your business. Whether or not you have a brick and mortar business, most people start their search for a service or product online. If you do not have a website for potential customers to look at, you risk losing your customer to a competitor that does. Why pass up an opportunity to showcase your business online? Another reason your business needs a website is that once you get traffic to your website you now have an opportunity to tell your visitors all about your products and services! Here is where you can explain how your products & services serve them and the results or benefits they will receive. This is where you can speak to your Ideal Client (or customer) and explain why you are the best choice for them!
3) Your website can help establish you as an authority in your industry & create trust with your audience.
If you want to be seen as an expert in your industry having a website can add to your authority. This is where you get to share your knowledge in a way that conveys trust & loyalty with your audience. You can do that by creating a website that is a great resource for your Ideal Client and give them reasons to return to your site (and refer others to your site) again and again! The best way to establish yourself as an expert, by using your website, is within the copy (aka the words) that you write for the pages of your website, as well as utilizing your blog! This is one of my favorite reasons your business needs a website! Your website can answer questions and or sell for you while you are away (either during off hours, when you are running errands, sleeping, or sipping margaritas on a beach somewhere). Your website works around the clock, 24-7 and never needs to take breaks, and you don’t have to pay it overtime, vacation time or a 401k!
6) Your website can be used to attracted online visitors to your business (via SEO).

Now this reason is super convenient! Again, your website can act as an employee (or multiple if you have tons of traffic), by answering common questions, explaining policies and procedures, providing resources for additional support, such as phone numbers, email addresses, or chat bots, etc.
8) Your website can add resources & training for your customers or prospects.
Similar to reason #7, you can provide resourceful links that will aid customers in making purchase decisions or to explain processes, add tutorial videos. onboard and off-board clients, etc. Having a website for your business is a great way to add value to your client or customer experience.
9) Your website can help grow your email list & beat out social media.
You can provide helpful freebie resources in exchange for customer or prospect’s email addresses. Email marketing is HUGE and HIGHLY effective! Your messages and offers have a greater chance of being seen by your Ideal Client because you are not competing with social media algorithms.
