We don’t just talk the talk, we walk the walk! We don’t advise you to do things that we don’t do ourselves.
Do you want a professional site? Then you gotta be strategic! That’s not just a fancy word we throw around. It’s literally the starting point with everything we do!
What should you look for in a Web Designer?
The first thing that comes to mind, is strategy!

Web Design Services
We build on three main website platforms:
Squarespace, Shopify, or Showit. We still have some Wordpress clients and can work on them, however we prefer the other platforms. Scroll down to learn more about each platform, who they’re good for and why we like them.
Why work with us? We teach you and empower you on how to manage your websites, we’re here for you, we partner with you! And if you decide you don’t have the patience, time, or desire to manage your own website, you can hire us again and again, to make sure your website keeps your business moving forward!
Squarespace
Who is it good for?
Squarespace is a web design platform that is great for service-based businesses, you can create gated content like memberships or courses and you can also sell products and services by adding a shop to your site.
Why do we like it?
Squarespace is very user-friendly for our clients. Security is built into their platform. The first year of your domain is free if you purchase the annual discount plan. You can receive our Squarespace Circle Member Discount. Squarespace’s customer service is top notch. You can get one year of free Google Workspace (the professional email for your business), their SEO is user-friendly and they provide a checklist.
Shopify
Who is it good for?
Shopify is a web design platform that is great for product-based businesses (e-commerce), they offer many apps you can install on your website to get the functionality you and your target audience desire.
Why do we like it?
Shopify is the leader when it comes to e-commerce.
We aim to design Shopify sites to not look like every other Shopify site. If you desire a Shopify website that stands out and doesn’t look like all the rest, we are the web design studio for you! There are some limitations with their free themes and we recommend splurging a little to purchase a more robust theme.
Showit
Who is it good for?
Showit is a stunning website builder and is another great option for service-based businesses. E-commerce and bloggers can also use Showit but will involve integrations, whereas Squarespace has those functionalities already built in. However, some business owners might prefer Showit and that’s ok, because we can work with Showit as well!
Why do we like it?
Showit is super flexible in terms of design. Basically if you can dream it you can do it in Showit. Want a crazy layout, Showit can probably handle that. Squarespace has just launched Fluid Engine which is very similar to Showit’s super flexible layout tools. Showit also has great customer service just like Squarespace.
Have questions about what platform is best for you? No worries. We are here to answer them.
So let's break it down.
So let's break it down.
We talk a lot about strategy and all the pieces we need that contribute to a successful project. Well what do those terms mean and why should we care about each piece? Let’s break down what heavily influences the design and conversions on your website.
Business Strategy
First we recommend getting your business foundations set up and in place. What are your offers? Who are you serving? What is your positioning within the market? These are all questions that I ask of my clients and if they don’t have the answers to these questions, they tend to feel overwhelmed. Because that is the very foundation of your business, we recommend you work with a Business Coach to map those things about first. If you don’t do that, then how can we start working on your brand and website? We can’t. You’ll be confused and lost and start questioning yourself and your confidence.
Don’t have a Business Coach? Don’t know who to hire? Don’t worry! We’ve got you covered. Our Brand Strategy includes working with a Business Coach. We literally help you with the pieces that contribute to the success of your brand and website. The work you do with your Business Coach affects everything we do: brand and web design.
2. Brand Strategy
Brand Strategy is the process of doing market research, competitor analysis, coming up with creative solutions to your client’s problems, and designing for your target audience. It is the process in which we’re putting strategy behind your brand, not just throwing things together just because you think it looks good. It also includes things like the brand concept, creative direction, brand guidelines, and the brand map. If you want your website to not only look good but also convert, it ALL starts with brand strategy.
3. Brand Identity
Brand Identity includes the visuals of your brand and is designed from the work we do during the brand strategy session. Brand Identity includes the main logo, logo variations, the submark logos, brand colors, brand typography, and even brand photography.
4. Website Copy
There’s still a lot of confusion about what website copy is. You can dive deeper in this by reading my blog post (Copywriting vs Copyright). Copywriting (with a W) consists of the written words on a website, social media ad, or sales page. When you read the words on a website and think “Yes! That’s me, they totally get me and they’re talking to me.” and you’re ready to book that call or purchase that product, you’ve just experienced the magic of copy (the written words). And the person trained to write those words is called a Copywriter (the writer of the copy). Copywriters are trained in sales psychology, persuasive writing, write with clarity, and in a way that stays true to your brand voice. All of those techniques influence the likelihood of conversions of your website.
Listen up! This is one of the areas that most business owners think “oh I can write pretty well, I’ll just do it myself.” This is a bad idea because 1) almost every client I had that did this struggles BIG TIME with writing the words clearly and effectively and it ends up delaying the project and 2) once they truly grasp the importance of copywriting, they wish they would have hired a copywriter.
You do not want to skimp on this part because COPY (the words on your website) influence the buying decision. Web Design ATTRACTS and COPY converts. The two need to work together. Also, COPY dictates DESIGN. So hiring a web designer and saying you want to DIY your copy, turning in lackluster copy or no copy at all greatly affects the web design process (and not in a good way). Copy comes first, then web design.
Don’t have a Copywriter in mind yet? No worries. We’ve got you covered here as well. Love it Design Co. has partnered with Rose Copy Co. . We will build Copywriting into your web design quote. In order to work with Love it Design Co., you must hire a professional copywriter or at the very least you have to have taken a DIY copy course first. We won’t slap together a lackluster website just because you want to go the cheaper route. If you need a low cost option you can take my design course or purchase a website template.
5. Professional Brand Photos
If you’re serious with your business and want success, you need to do what successful business owners do. They do what it takes to get high quality results. High quality, professional brand photos are necessary to elevate the look of your brand and website. You can use stock photos but we advise to only use them to compliment your brand photos. Your dream clients want to connect with you and they do that by seeing you and your brand in the photos.
Need help finding a brand photographer? We got you! With your Brand Design package you will receive Creative Direction for your brand photoshoot. We’ll also help you vet your photographer. We’ll make sure your photos are exactly what you need for your website and social media posts.
6. Web Design Strategy
Web Design strategy includes everything we talked about previously plus layout design, user experience, easy navigation, mobile optimized design, SEO friendly design, and much more!
